Yea I like the idea of taamvan’s mod because it doesn’t change much. I think I’ll make the NOs except for lenningrad a $3 option. Give some more flexibility with it.

Is that what you’re trying now ? My initial thought is that D4 might be too powerful, as my impression is the defensive fleet usually has the advantage.
I’ve never tried it though.

Only made it a couple rounds in my test game before I decided on another approach : ) so haven’t really got much action with A4.
Decided to let planes target capital ships before regular combat starts. Didn’t seem right that AA shooting at them and they just gotta take it heh heh.

Anyway, let me know if you want a triplea option for testing.

didn’t have time to read all of it, but one thing that has probably not been mentioned;

when germany is capable of taking moscow, then, it is time to retreat, if you alow his stack to kill you in moscow, and then turn south, it is hard to defend cairo, if you retreat from moscow, and force him to keep his stack there, then that stack will not turn south. at this point you will prolly only collect like 8 ipc anyways, while your army should be worth at least 250 IPC, prolly like 300, do not let him kill it for half the number of IPC, then it is far better to let him get moscow, and keep retreating, forcing him to either build a completly new army to attack cairo over land, or to alow you back into moscow at some point.

Im sure you have enough of an understanding of the game to not need the battle board, but remember, its also a place. If units cant go to the battle board, they cant be taken as casualties.

I’m not so sure about the new convoy raiding rules.  It was kind of nice to have a set amount, something you could count on each round as long as your submarines or warships survived to attack the convoys.  However, the new system does present the possibility of getting much more damage per ship (6 per sub and 3 per warship) plus it lets carrier planes get involved too.  I will be interested to try them out in my next game and see how they work.

my question is lets say russia takes a german territory on there turn(2) and has there land units in that territory…on the U.K 's turn (4) in that same round…can U.K.  planes safely land there in that russia territory that they took over from germany. so basically do u have to wait for the entire round to be over before any friendly planes can land in a territory.

Any territory that starts the turn friendly to a player (in this case, the territory that russia captured) has no restrictions for movement, repair, etc.  Naval bases, factorys, airfields would all be operational, and you would be allowed to noncombat land planes there.

This is also why it’s better, if it’s possible, to liberate Russian factories with another power than to wait for Russia to liberate them, as russia would start its turn with the factory able to produce units that turn (as opposed to russia liberating it, and being forced to wait a full round).
