OK so now that I have played my first sea lion game as axis and pretty well lost it, I have come to a conclusion. If the axis invade London on G3, build a new army G4, and retake Eastern Europe G5, then you don’t actually enter Soviet territory until G6. That schedule puts the Soviet invasion very late and meanwhile the allies have been building and positioning. Both sides made some mistakes in this game, and both made some good moves, with some good and bad dice on both sides too. Pretty even test I would say. We can continue the game if you want to, but basically it is over for the axis. I am back to our original position that sea lion is basically for inept players.
