Yayy Italy! Scramble would have helped if the airbase were working, but repairing it would cost you 1 ground unit and risk losing planes. Hard to say what is the best thing to do. Now the sea lion looks like a “best case” for Germany - I got lucky in z111 and only lost 1 bomber in round 1. Also I don’t have to use any fighters as fleet cover because there wont be a sea battle without the scramble. If there were going to be a naval battle, having lost the battleship earlier would hurt now. I would probably put 2 fighters in z110 and have 2 fighters and 6 tac/bombers for the land battle, then lose 1 or 2 to AA, putting it pretty much right on the mark of 7-9 planes for a normal sea lion.

And why would you take the fighter out in the second round ??? the AC should have died and the fighter fight on giving me 3@3 not 1@2 2@3.

First round you hit 4 times, 2 hits on AC, 1 hit to battleship, hit to cruiser leaving me with a roll of 3@4 on the second roll not 1@2 2@4!!

you would actually still have a bomber vs. figher in SZ110 for a round 3 roll. Are you going to keep rolling or are you going to retreat the bomber?

I did that OOL becasue some people would rather try and save the carrier because it can be repaired and costs more than a fighter.
In any case, the carrier/fighter rolled a 6. The dice I rolled were 4, 5, and 6. Whether it was a carrier @2 or a fighter @4, it did not hit.

It is different because it would be three dice rolled at once not 1 die and two dice rolled seperately. The odds do change in that event.
