Defense
Rolls: 4@4; Total Hits: 34@4: (4, 6, 1, 3)

ouch
-
I’ll lose 2 Tac and 1 Bmb. 1 Ftr survives to bomb your 2 Trns into waterborne debris.
NCM on map.
Building 3 Ftr in WFr, placing on the 2 ACs in z110
Building 8 Inf, 1 Art in WGr.
Germany collects 54 IPCs, 44 from land and 10 from NOs.
-
Ouch indeed! A small correction to the map.
-
Hang on, I forgot about that russian sub attacking my convoy in z105.
Rolls: 1@3; Total Hits: 01@3: (4)
-
Looks like it didn’t matter. Carry on with the Red Menace, my friend!
-
submarine rolls 2 dice on a convoy raid
2nd dice:
Rolls: 1@3; Total Hits: 01@3: (5)
-
still didn’t matter
-
dang those tanks looked tasty
-
Nothin’ stopping you from taking a bite. :-D
-
Oh, and I forgot to mention my tanks blitzing through the Bal on their way to Epl. If you’re cool with adding it on now, Germany gets one more IPC. If not, no big deal.
-
Russia had 47
Purchase:
6 art - 24
3 tanks - 18
1 mech - 4 = 46Combat
1 inf to romania
1 mech Novo to PolandNCMs on map
place 3 art Novo
3 art s urk
3 tanks 1 mech Moscowcollect 41 terr + 11 NOs = 52 + 1 saved = 53
-
okay, if you want to blitz, deduct 5 IPCs (2 country 3 NO) from Russia, you keep Poland, I blitz into Bal with 1 tank and back to Novo one less tank in Bry, and the mech in Poland goes to Bry instead and add the IPC to Germany
-
fixed
-
The broad sweep of that sounds fine. I also just noticed that Germany lost 5 IPCs for lack of the Egypt NO (The Egyptian garrison ran away. He had been told it was a ceremonial position.) I’m headed to bed. I might not have a chance to put up Japan’s turn for a while, but I’ll get to it as soon as I have time and brains to spare.
-
Interesting move in Russia, by the way. Feel free to update the map with your suggested changes if you feel like it, otherwise I think I’ll be able to do it myself tomorrow. Night!

After giving this game a great deal of thought, I am prepared to go ahead and call it in your favor, Jeff. I might win, but it seems unlikely given those two big screwups I made earlier. Sealion is a remote possibility, taking another 2 or 3 rounds. I could crush Calcutta next round, but it would put Japan in a terrible place defensively. I’d just as soon start over at this point.
You up for a rematch? Same setup and all that.
-
Sure, you pick which side you want…
Another tip for fun…build 2 - 4 more carriers as Japan so all those planes can threaten more places and the allied fleet, and take the DEI islands on J3 or J4, because they are worth a lot of cash
-
I think I’d learn more by playing as the Allies at this point. I totally agree with your point that letting the DEI go so easy was a major problem. I was just deathly afraid of bringing the US in any earlier than I had to.
