LOL I quit. Congratulations Alex you beat me again!
Losing my sea lion fleet early on made me have to put off Barbarossa until G4. Even with aggressive tactics by Japan keeping USA occupied, it was inevitable that the allies would eventually come to Russia’s aid. Timing in everything.

Thank you, Vance.
But lets not forget I made this sub / cruiser mistake in, what was it, UK2, and you put those cruiser to my main fleet! It didnt make a difference in the way that the same strategy with the two cruisers with the fleet to start with would have been valid and possible, and with the dice results we had, successfull as well. Still, it was gracious and a lot of other players would have happily let me relapse into classic thinking that anything that can float can block a sub, and attack with the CRs in prime position to watch the debacle :)
29 hits from my 2s is clearly insane, but your attack had less than 10% chance to succeed, statistically (first time I used such a calculator, I ran out of paper with those numbers, lol). But I had a feeling you would do it this turn with the new ANZAC and Finland factory, and the Greece one coming next turn. To take or at least contain all of them, your remaining force would be susceptible to a Russian attack, and too small splinter groups leaving Russia would fall prey to allied bombers.
But, in any case, I learned a lot, really a lot, from how you manouvered with Germany / Italy, and the fun would have been the same had I lost. And fun I had, never played such an intensive global 40, never manouvered on such a grand scale. I several times was sure that certain outcomes are inevitable, and then the opposite happened.
I picked up some very useful moves from you, and how to protect the West efficiently. I made appaling mistakes with Russia, biggest of all losing the airforce because I calculated range for one target, then attacked another and ran out of fuel :)
If you want, I’d start a new game with you anytime. Maybe, and hopefully this is not an insult, you’d like to play a classic spring 1942, or even, preferably, World at War (I saw there is a map in battlemaps) for a change. But in any case, thanks again, Vance.

OK cool. I actually don’t know how to play those other games. I played classic A&A a few times when it first came out (yes I am that old), and just got back into it this year when i saw the new Global games.
By the way, your trick of reaching z113 with the new carriers was awesome and I am going to tuck that one away for future use.
Good luck Alex!
