By the way, if I submerge my sub as my first strike you can’t hit it. Kind of a crummy rule I know.
oh ok, another thing I read differently in the rules. There it says “can submerge anytime it would otherwise roll the die to fire”. As the attacking sub would roll first, you could not submerge until shot at first. And it kind of makes the surprise strike capability useless. Even against a sub another sub should be able to sneak in…as it clearly can because if you dont submerge, you would be an eligible target for surprise attack. Not logical, but if it thats the rule, ok.
