VANN FORMULAS have been superseded and are totally defunct reasoning. larrymarx replaced it and nobody even refers to Vann formula anything. I have no idea why anybody would even bring up that topic. It holds zero value

July 18-20 this year … don’t think we need to worry about that.  :)

I got my tickets in May and they were just starting to go up. I could’ve flown in from SF for under $400. I waited a week and paid like $440. I may not be the one deciding whether I can go or not. I have two sets of friends getting married next year and I don’t know when. Chances are one wedding will be in the middle of GenCon and the other in the middle of the Beer Bloggers Conference. I seriously doubt they will conflict with FMGC13 and Spring Gathering XI.

Get airline tickets in February (or earlier) and that saves costs. Also, try and get into the gencon housing block on the 1st day, which also is the lowest local hotel prices.

Also, I have added a new link and it basically revolves around G40 and the information we gathered from both games at the SGX.  I am going to start including this information so that we can make a good and informed decision on how to proceed with FTF tournament games at Origins and GEN CON and the victory conditions, game rules (Alpha +3), etc.

Throw my name in, I’ll be there  :-)

I drove 9 hours to go to DragonCon 2011 in Atlanta with the sole purpose of getting into an Axis & Allies tournament, but no one else showed up…including the organizer of the scheduled Axis event.

My point with this post is not to complain (well maybe a little bit), but to hopefully generate enough interest in DragonCon 2012 that I can get into a game there.  I’ve been to GenCon a number of times and there was always a good group there.  I would just like to see the same at DragonCon.
