@Krieghund Thanks! (For completeness, I should have been more clear in that Germany controlled Persia at the beginning of its turn in this example. i.e. there was/is a legal landing zone for the fighter)
omg, seriously, let me tell you, from my own experience, that a 2 IC build for the british is suicide against a good Axis player. Period.
dizzkneeland33, if this is your view on The_Good_Captain’s 2 IC strategy for UK, then just play him as the Axis and prove it. I would love to hear about the results. Classic rules with Russia Restricted and he agrees to play the 2 IC strategy. It sounds like you both believe you would be at an advantage in this setup, so what’s preventing you from playing?
I would be all for it as I believe I could have been the biggest Command & Conquer junkie out there back in the day. It will remove some of the stratagy from the game, and I would be interested to see what they do with the units as in I would assume instead of America having just P-51’s and B-29’s there would be different fighters to buy at various cost levels, that could be cool. I guess it will all depend on the vision of the group putting this out, can’t wait for the first beta copy :D
One thing that bugs me in the rules is … if you have FTRs on a CV in the UK sz, for example, and are attacked, losing the CV, but FTRs survive, they have one movement point to reach the UK, W EUR or F/N! If they were in the fight(which is highly probable) then they would not have fuel to reach safety. But, IT’S JUST A GAME!
G_t,
If you’ve played a lot almost any move should be seen before made. Look at some of the other strings under this Axis & Allies heading. This topic has come up once or twice before  .
