    Ok, I feel like I need to apologize for these next 2 combats because they are next to impossible and feel a little dirty. On page 26 in the rule book under Air Units, it states:

    In order to demonstrate that an air unit MAY have a safe landing zone, you may assume that all of your attacking rolls will be hits, and all defending rolls will be misses. You cannot, however, use a planned retreat of any carrier to demonstrate a possible safe landing zone for any fighter.

    If you declare that a carrier will move during the Noncombat Move phase to provide a safe landing zone for a fighter moved in the Combat Move phase, you must follow through and move the carrier to its planned location in the Noncombat Move phase unless the fighter has landed safely elsewhere of has been destroyed before then.

    So…

    NO need to appologize!!  :-D I am actually aware of the rule and considered that you might be privy to it too but I think you had an earlier opportunity to employ it and you didn’t do it so I thought what the hell! I made so many mistakes this game, really dreadful, and it seemed to me that the dice were working against me lately not that I didn’t put myself in harms way, I left myself open all over the place and kept gambling. Good game. You win. Record your results!!
