All, just an FYI, but there is an A&A 40 Pacific discussion thread re: the Alpha set-up for the Pacific in the global game re: Siam. Since there is no truly “Global” site, just an FYI.

Thank you! I just wanted to let you know of my progress. I certainly tried to do all of that in earlier games, but for one reason or another, it didn’t work well enough to net an Axis win.
and with mech-infantry it is quite comfortable even from germany. therefrom you can help out even in southern italy, if there is no allied obstacle in the way. ;)
this way you can cover mostly the whole of continental europe (except russian territories).
If you build a factory in Cairo as UK, its great!! If you can get away with it, which is hard. The best way to do this is to save your transport, not worry about Greece, combine your fleet, bring up some reinforcements from south Africa, and land as many allied aircraft there as you can by turn 3 or 4. If you throw down a factory there by turn 3 or 4, then you have Africa and a sizable fleet to help protect India one the good ole USA puts the vice on Italy.
