Game set-Up:
Bid Spending.jpg
Hmm.
I think your biggest problem is that you’re an egg.
That last one wasn’t quite accurate…
Confusing myself doing it on two different computers
I think this one’s right. Updated with the tcnance/Eggman result.
I’m wondering if anybody is letting these rankings influence your bidding. A top guy might go with a bid of 9 - 12 if playing Allies against another top guy, but might want none at all if they want to be really fair when challenging a bottom guy (or gal… do we have any?).
It has a big influence on which side I want, and therefore what I bid, yes.
Would also be interested to hear from people on the subject
Eggman is on a ROLL!
(pun intended)
Promoted to tier 2 because he passed the -0.50 barrier, so his opponents get a raise
Keep up the good work, Egg. If you slip back to tier 3, I’m gonna fry you
If you slip back to tier 3, I’m gonna fry you
Yuk, yuk ,yuk. Or should I say, yolk, yolk, yolk
?
The latter, of course!

Please don’t incite cow to rant and rave on this thread also. You guys have been sparring all over A&A.org for several days, now…. Is no place sacred?
Updated with AA50 results
AA50 is on the first tab - arrow to the left at the bottom left
2 Axis wins gets the 2013 results back to what I’ve seen - 62.5% winning percentage for Axis when the bid is below 12
(Actually, it was 68.1% in 2012, when 91 games were played)

In fact, Eggman (continuing discussion from post results thread),
If I exclude you, the Allies are 50-43. A .538 winning percentage.
How many games have you played past 3 or 4 rounds? Just wondering.
Looking at the results of all “tier 1” and “tier 2” players, they are 48-24 with the Allies.
That tells me that if you know what you’re doing, winning with the Allies is NO TROUBLE at all :-)
Almost forgot

Indeed, I think the Allies have the edge with these 10 bids.
Perhaps this game is closer to “balanced” than everyone thinks! Or maybe it’s the Axis who could use a bid! We’ll see what happens as everybody gets more experienced on average.
Anyway, at this rate we’re going to have about 400 games completed in a year’s time. That will be a lot of data.
