a question: say that I target your carriers with kamikazes and manage to sink 1 or 2 of them, are your planes then allowed to land on Korea if you manage to conquer it?

Nope. If you damage a carrier, its planes would crash in the ocean because they can only land on an adjacent territory I owned since the beginning of my turn. However, I can use the doomed planes to hake any hits you make.
