It’s quite possible. I’ve tried something totally new that I’ve never done so Axis failure is certainly possible.

The Japanese fleets were quite dispersed. I am following this game closely. Are the japs in trouble here?
The overall strategy is good, but I need to refine the exact specifics on the Japanese on round one. I spread them out and opened them up to a number of counterattacks if the opponent chooses to be aggressive. I overlooked China early, and pissed away some aircraft early on that I need to preserve (Siam and Kwa were poor choices to land them in context), and I didn’t see some options for aggressive play from the enemy and lost a couple more ships in round two. I’d make a few alterations and I think this is certainly viable. I’m almost at economic parity with the Allies and it’s only round 2 - by the end of round three I’ll have economic advantage over the allies; the Allies have little options to regain ground thus far but we’ll see how round three fares for them. I just need to rebuilt the Japanese forces and continue to expand my economic strength.

Perhaps…
Recall on the other thread I had reservations about attacking the US fleet in Hawai because it puts you out of position. I also had a plan to land all planes safely in one place. Unfortunately, won’t have the time to execute my strategy for a while, but may be some additional food for thought…

I’m still fine with the attack on Hawaii, but I think I’d prefer leaving a blocker at Hawaii to stop the followup attack on my capital ships. The followup attack at Hawaii is where I think I need some refinement - I went after the American fleet a second time, and left myself in a precarious position. We’ll see how this turns out.
