    I imagine the opening in G40 are just as critical as in 41 etc?

    Well, your first mistake is that I can scramble 4 fighters to SZ 109.  Your second was pissing off the dice gods.  Go in your back yard, make a little throne out of rocks and burn a D6 to appeas them!

    Seriously, no, the SZ 106 fight is not that crucial.  Things that are normally attacked:

    SZ 110
    SZ 111
    SZ 91
    SZ 106
    SZ 112
    France
    W. France
    S. France
    Yugoslavia

    Obviously, you dont have the firepower to hit all of them.

    3 Fighters or Tactical Bombers from each airbase adjacent to the sea zone being attacked.

    SZ 109 is bordered by Scotland, England and Eire.  Scotland and England have airbases, so 6 fighters may scramble to that sea zone.
    SZ 35 is bordered by the Philippines only, which has an airbase, so only 3 fighters/tactical bombers may scramble at all.

    I am sorry Jenn I think I am an absolute moron. stop laughing. Z109 still can scramble to defend the dd & trn from my subs cause the fgt can hit the ss due to the dd? I guess the only solice is that if my subs hit they sink the ships? Can you confirm?

    Also can you confirm the max scramble into a sea zone? Is it 6?

    My entire thought w/the brits was to kill all the brit destroyers. keep some ss’s in the atlantic to harass everyone for some time.

    Also with the G fleet in z112, my af can scramble to protest them so I diodn’t think i needed that cv purchase cause the scramble rules are similair to having a cv in z112? what do you think?

    I’m confused? why wouldn’t you have some fgt’s scramble into z109? what would be the downside? Are you leading me around in circles young lady?
