@mike64 OK Japan 1 is done. Lost a fighter but oh well.

Never fear; there is a statistical phenomenon called “regression toward the mean” that predicts that over a long series of dice rolls, bad outcomes will tend to be made up for by good rolls. Trick is, you never know when.
Anyway Banzai!
Japan buys a minor IC and 2 transports.
Combat moves:
sz6 transport picks up 2 infantry from Japan, moves to sz5 and deposits 1 on Siberia and 1 on Soviet far East.2 infantry, 1 artillery from Jehol, plus 1 mech from Manchuria take Chahar.
1 infantry, 1 artillery take Anhwe from Shantung.
3 infantry, 1 artillery from Kwangsi, plus 1 fighter, 1 tactical from Kiangsu attack Yunnan (planes land in Kwangsi)

Good Sir - unloading of a single transport can only happen in a single territory -
-
Uh oh. sorry OK 2 infantry to Siberia then.
-
No problem - same move I did vs. Gargantua. It’s important to sap Russia’s economy, but the trade off is a transport in the south. I think the choice to go into Russia for Japan depends on how Germany’s first turn went -
Yours went well!
Russia is a little nervous, but ready for the fight.
-
Yeah I got lucky with the dice on that one.
Anyway, Noncombat moves are…
Transport from sz20 moves to sz6, pickup up 1 armor, 1 infantry, drops them in Korea.
Transport from sz19 picks up 2 infantry from Shantung, moves to sz36 and drops them on Kwangsi.
Battleship, destroyer, sub from sz19 and cruiser from sz20 all go to sz36.
Fighters from Okinawa and Formosa go to Kwangsi.
3 infantry, 1 artillery go from Kiangsi to Kwangsi.
3 infantry, 1 artillery go from Kinagsu to Anhwe.
Battleship, cruiser, sub, 1 destroyer, 2 aircraft carriers, 2 fighters, 2 tac go from sz6 to sz33.
2 Bombers from Japan to Caroline islands.
3 infantry, 1 artillery from Manchuria to Jehol.2 infantry from Korea to Manchuria.
Mobilize Units
Minor IC placed in Manchuria, 2 transports in sz6.Map to follow…
-
OK here is the map. I don’t see where you do the IPC calculation in the upper left (I am probably staring right at it though).
-
oh yeah Japan collect 40 IPCs (30 + 10 for not being at war with USA).
-
Vance - the map you sent me has no units in Anhwe… please revise!
-
ugggh. sorry again. Anhwe and Kiangsi are fixed (attached).
-
It’s ok! This is meant as a tutorial.
My daughter is jumping on my nrck. When I get a second, allies will get done.
-
No rush obviously. Besides I made another Mistake! West Germany should have 3 fighters, 3 tac; not 2 fighters, 4 tac.

I place, and move on.

China collects 10.

God owes me some favours I guess.

What can I do? I think God is mad at me. 3 out of 4 games I’m in right now I’ve had terrible dice. I have to start living better… :)
