    yeah, I’m interested to see how the Pacific side plays out.  I looks pretty tough for Japan although that Yunnan dice whipping made it a little easier.
    Yes.  I was hoping to do serious dmg to the British, but adding in the Chinese really works in my favor.  I hope I can keep the ball rolling now!

    In Europe, in my three Alpha+3 games so far the Italian Navy breakup is turning out to be a pretty good call.  Seems tough for Britain to cripple Italy because that navy is spread out.  The Bomber is helpful for Italy also.  I couldn’t put a blocker to stop the Gibraltar invasion because of it.  I had a chance to attack the Italian navy on round 2 but didn’t- should have- even though it would have cost me my navy and yours.  I didn’t want to leave the Med and give you control and a bonus- stubborn.  
    Yes, you should have.  Now you have to choose between Italian navy or German air force.  I know how I would choose but in either event, those boats are not getting out of the med anymore.  That should be a slight set back for England.  If you hit the Airforce, you might lose a lot of planes as well, but you might go for it anyway.

    It seems that as Britain you either got to attack the Italian fleet- or only part of it now and sacrifice your Med navy or evacuate the Med and rebuild from the outside (help India or rebuild from Canada/London).  Anyway the Med is not a guaranteed thing for the Brits from what I can see, which is good considering G3 Sealion is essentially dead.  Still interested to see the G4 Sealion in this version though (probably too risky- but I would still like to try it again).
    Oh, please try it against me!  :evil:  Yes, I agree, I like to pull the British fleet out and help India.  I can still get a transport and destroyer, so the Italian fleet isn’t completely forgotten.

    I still think that 1AC, 2TTs are the correct build for Germany- still have to “show” Sealion- even though its not probable on G3 just to keep Britain honest with their buys- otherwise they build in Africa or create a big Canadian naval force or something.  Since the convoys are on the far side of England- Germany can’t seem to really take advantage of them without good naval supremecy- which it never seems to have even in Alpha+3.
    I have been trying games lately without building fleet.  I made a big mistake with Jmite, but have since corrected it.  It won’t derail my game, but it did slow me down a little and hopefuly I can recover in time to still sack Muskva on round 8!

    I also, am wondering what would happen if I move the 18Russian inf west on the onset- securing Russia for later rounds but make Japan much stronger in the East- I think I’m actually trying that in my other game.
    Japan attacks Amur (nothing in it I presume) and activates Mongolia.  Now there are two routes you have to block.  One through Russia, the other through Mongolia.  I am finding this REALLY helps Japan since they have plenty of aircraft to hit both avenues if they want too.

    So far, I can’t see any real changes needed to Alpha+3 than what is already currently there.  I still think the game is slightly Allied advantage over time- maybe I would give Italy an extra infantry in Libya or something.  As far as Japan, I got see how my games turn out including this one.
    I’d like some recompense for Japan if Russia attacks.  It seems silly that the Mongolians would attempt to stop Japan from counter attacking.  I don’t think it is NEEDED but it would be a nice addition to the game.  Perhaps America would give Japan some slack if Russia invaded first? Perhaps if Japan invades first America could then be allowed to declare war on the start of US 3 and get rid of the Mongolia rule altogether.  Make Russia more secure.  There are 3 major reasons Russia is a bit weaker now:  1)  Mongolia route to Moscow.  2)  Germany got more AA Guns.  3)  Germany is probably going Russia instead of England first.  The last one isn’t new, but it was used less frequently in A+2.

    Intriguing game so far… :-)

  • Not to go backwards or anything…but on pg 54 post…your post says that you moved to Gib with CZ and 2inf- where is the transport- that was none left on the map and it doesn’t seem you used one.  I don’t think this is a big deal because I know you had one in range and I believe I sunk the CZ anything- thus would’ve sunk the TT as well- can you double check this for me???- thanks

    Wow, that was a ways ago (two rounds)…no idea if it was dead or not, I must have seen it on the map, so maybe you didn’t remove it?
