You cant retreat from an amphip assualt so in this scenario it would be easier to lose 2 inf and 1 art as you amphibd with 1 inf and 1 art. If you did choose 3 inf as losses you would have to retreat all land assault units and keep rolling for your art that amphibd. Hope that makes sense. I will have Italians to go in about half an hour. Having breakfast etc. I should also be able to get a few turns in today as its Saturday……and raining :-D
