Now I see my specific question is answered, the carriers could not even split up during a combat move that ends in the same place

If I understand right it’s Italy’s turn now?
Even if Allies have the edge now I think Axis still pretty strong. If you don’t mind, I’ll would like to take Axis from here and continu the game with Jennifer (for fun)Axis still have very good chance to win.

I do not think the Axis will lose, necessarily at this point. If you want to pick it up, BBB, would you please open a new thread and in the opening posts, just say it is a continuation of a game. I beleve you are correct, it is Italy 3 right now.
And post a link here or in my mailbox so I see it please!

Shouldn’t quit, JWW.
Its turn 3 in my game, and I have still to capture all of France due to bad luck and my opponent capitalizing on my misfortune. But there is still fun to be had. I will make it my mission in the game to kill every last French piece even if its the last thing I do.

Way to make a gal blush…I thought the game ended prematurely myself… but it is your perrogative, and if you want to continue in another thread (because you already told me to end it and I already listed it as ended) I’d be glad to finish it.

The way I read the scrambling rules there is not a cap of three fighter scrambling into a sea zone-only a cap of three fighters scrambling from any one airbase.For example if the Japs have an airbase in Korea they would be able to scramble 3ftrs each from Korea and Japan for a total of 6 fighters to one sea zone. Am I wrong?

You’re right, it’s max of 6 planes (Note : mix of Ftr and Tac Bomber since Tac Bomber can also scramble).
