Collet 38tt – 2convoy + 5 norway + 5 egypt = 46

i think USA has 1 too many fights on z25– i think one destroyed the transports and landed on taiwan
-
One landed on Formosa…is that what you mean? I brought more from home to replace the one I sent out to kill the transports.
-
Rather end this one now and move to the next…Russia’s going to collapse before I get in position anyway.
Link:
http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=24747.new#newYou know, there is all this talk about how strong Russia is, but I really don’t see it. Without Sea Lion draining significant resources from the Germans, it seems Russia will collapse just about the same time America enters the war.
-
Wow, Turn 6 Germany is not in Russia, Japan is stalling and you think the allies are losing? I suspect the game will be very different in 4 more turns. If it would not be offensive, I would love to play the allies and see if my theory is sound.
Since this game is over: Here is a suggested map of USSR turn 6 if you(or anybody else) are interested in continuing:
Production: 46 (that’s what the map says they have, if that is wrong, just build max artillery with what they have similar to this build)
repair 3
10 artillery, infPlacement:
3 art-Sukr
7art,inf-MosCollection: 29
The reason why I see the Allies looking good in 4 rounds is this:
Japan does not have the navy or land forces to secure India and one other city to end it by then. They will be busy with 2 large fleets that once linked will be able to convoy Japan and bring China into the game from z19. If possible in those 4 rounds I would liberate Hon.
Since UK could fall if Germany starts going navy- next 2 rounds will be spent securing there(will need 1 ftr).
USA will build 80-100 percent in z101 next 4 rounds. We should see UK rebounding in income if it is not captured by a mid game sea lion.
I would fortify Anzac the next 4 rounds to secure their capital. The key will be fleet maneuvers in the Pacific.Key moves will be
(Japan fleet not in z6): US z47, if alive UK/Anz z37 liberate Mal(if able), then both fleet join z19 as non combat moves, using air to clear blockers, then z6 if Japan is not parked there.
(Japan fleet in z6): US z26, z33 (take), z19, z6 (if able)
UK/Anz: z54,z33,z19,z6 (if able) UK Transports will likely leave to liberate Mal if able. Anzac transport will be loaded at Australia for operations turns 10-14Key turn 7 US Atlantic moves:5 subs,4 transports(leaving room for 4 UK land units) to z106, UK moves DD to z91(non-combat) block I-Navy and builds a DD for 106. Unless Italy blocks z109, UK gets 8 more land units(sacrificing transports) to Secure London if axis begin staging.
US would likely build 6 bombers-(only because Italy could try to block z109 and with 6 subs as fodder the 6 bombers clear it and also give London 6 more casualties. Also with Alpha 3, aagun’s unless stacked are less of a threat to large bomber forces.) (2 mech and 2 inf move to Canada- as a London response force). Navy builds would follow on turn 8. -
Well, part of it is that Jmite doesnt keep the cash records up to date…might effect things. Rest of it is I really wanna try out a new strat for the axis and this really doesnt appear too hot. Got italian units behind Moscow, nothing really keeping the axis out since with Japan back there Russia has to retreat giving up land to the Germans…and the axis earn more than the allies…

Hi
@James - I agree game is far from won, though I think that assessment is true for both sides at this point
@Jen - I’m fine starting a new game if you want to be axis
@James - I’m happy to play a game at some point but alas I only have time to play one at a time
@Jen - what do you mean by keeping up to date income. The little income tracker is auto calculated as long as control markers are kept. I typically don’t update the NO counter but that does not show a total income, unless I am mistaken. Instead I declare tt and NO income at the end of each turn in the text so there is a clear record
@Jen - feel free to post a new thread with a game with you as allies when ready

I’m sorry if I implied that the axis were losing…That is clearly not the case, I just think its still up in the air and it looked fun. When you finish, just let me know and we can continue on this thread down the road.

No worries, no insult taken.
I’m not sure which side would win at this point; each has some strengths and weaknesses, so still a toss up
happy to play at some point, either this game or another. my preference is to start another if it takes too long to get back to this one; my memory on what the ‘grand plan’ was supposed to be isn’t what it used to be…
cheers
