HBG global map

I believe around the year 2004 I purchased two great axis and allies maps created by a gentleman by the name of Ralph Boerke from Waterloo Canada.  The maps were laminated and the first one was a 1942 world map.  The second one was a Europe only map.  Anyways I just found both maps at my parents house. I have played the world map and loved it as Ralph included different rules for his game.  The Europe only map is huge! I never played it though :(. Has anyone ever played this A&A Europe map created by Ralph?  I know he was working on a pacific map also and wondered if he ever released it?

I just checked out there site and the battle of britian set and industrial and rails, South America, partisans, seaplanes and seaplane tenders are all gone and Superweapons UK and Italy were put in there place. A couple of those I would have liked to have seen the light of day some of the ones (read zombies) I don’t care if it comes out

Judging by the fact it took me 3 weeks to answer the question. Yes very busy, working 10+ hour days 6 days a week and taking care of the mother-in-law.

yeah I am. I’ve been so busy I haven’t even had a chance to put my Japanese set away. I went through it and checked it out but they are still in the box they came in

IL is right. Got all my maps 3 x 6, 4 x 8 printed on vinyl. Banner Material. Cost of 3 x 6 map $75.00 and 4 x 8 map $107.00. They also can format it so you don’t lose any territories. They once forgot to shrink whole map to 3 x 6 when I had a 4 x 8 foot map in that size file. Lost a bunch of territoies because they didn’t shrink file. It was  Tigerman’s old map.

Couldn’t you also sell the electronic files (also for Global War 1939) as you do for other custom maps? Or are you afraid that those files are shared?

Well, I just created this map, the game itself was developed by another person, you can find more information on his website about the rules and try to develop AA rules for the game.

Considering all the feedback I have received from my first public release of Global Conflict on this form and other outlets, **I have now released my third edition of Global Conflict. **

It is much more balanced than before. Minor changes to setup makes Germany be a more threatening adversary. The Allied economic dominance has been addressed with modified convoy rules and also the edition of supply tokens.  Long game play time has been addressed with a new turn sequence which should keep all players more involved with very little idle time. A close competitive game with five players can now be completed in less than six hours. (This does not including setup). Technology rules have also been modified. Three new units have been included. They are Mechanized Divisions, Air Transports, and Cruisers.  (If you don’t have these units, replace all cruisers in the setup with destroyers, and ignore mechanized devisions and air transports.  Play will still be balanced)

The board I’m working on is about 25" x 40", is made of metal, and all the pieces are magnetized (super glue and a magnet) and of various designs from a hobby store. Mostly Die-cast metal pieces. It’s beena bit pricy to start, and i’m not nearly done, but I’ll be able to hang this think on the wall between sessions or just play on the wall if I feel like it.
