Please review the rolling to make sure it was done properly, I was thinking I would have about 6 fighters and 2 bombers left after that one. Only once did losing the ac later result in a lost hit for me. So I’m not sure I actually rolled it right… I guess it’s possible that after my good first round, the second round must have really killed me, I guess it was about 5 hits short or something, while you had good rounds from round 2 on.

Yeah, you probably should have cleared with 5-7 units left.
You rolled up by ~2 hits in rd 1 (with 20), I was about avg. But rd 2 killed you. Not only were you down about 3 hits, but I rolled up 2 hits, with was a big 5 hit swing giving me an overall up 3. You probably picked up a hit in rd 3, but again got killed in rd 4. Not only didn’t you finish me off, but of course my ftr/bb got a 5th rd of battle to sneak in one more hit.
I hate naval battles, they can really swing a lot since you are typically rolling lots of 3’s and 4’s. I thought I was toast after rd 1. Never been so glad to have all those 1’s for fodder.
