I posted this on the forum. I understand the move, kicking myself for not moving the planes from holand back to Wgr. I can see how it could be legal but I just wanted to get more than one answer on the build and move. I will continue with Italy and see how this works out.

Use this map I grabbed the wrong one when I did italy I used UK map by mistake, I am sure the killing of those 9 trans had nothing to do with the mix up. Learning experience I guess if the move and placement stands. Please check to make sure everything is correct.

I actually feel a bit bad for doing that move, and i have no problem for the future game to let that move slip and build extra inf. for the carrier in London instead, just to get the game a bit more winnable for you?
This is also a learning trip for me, and i never though about that tactic before i sitting starring at the map trying to figure out how to hit does undefended transports. ? Let me know, i am more than willing to change the buy and grant you the 9 transports back, as it is a honest mistake, and i want to play the game through with at least some enjoyment for both of us.
Ill do france now, and you can always just write, ill add, 5 more inf to London and remove the Carrier? and ajust London IPC accordingly?

Hey if it is a legal move I am glad it happened it shows me something new. I was stupid leaving those transports by themselves. I even thought about the move you just did but my understanding of the rule was that you can build navy in occupied sea zone but I thought the planes had to make it back to a allied territory or back to the territory that produced the carrier in order to land and be placed on the carrier during the placement phase. It just seems wierd that a plane attacks and in order to land safely it is waiting for a carrier to be built, maybe I am thinking of real life and this is just a board game.
We should save both games and continue playing this one to see how it plays out and then maybe go back to you not making that move and seeing how things might change, that would be interesting.
I have to think about my German move this will be difficult to overcome.

All 4 Fighters in UK will intercept.
i am not sure the France fighter can intercept? but if it can not, then its only 3 fighters on intercept duty.i will try to get answer asap.

And i might be wrong, but i can seem to get the Car Tac to get enough movement to land in z92, as Spain is neutral and therefore impassible both by groundand airforces?

You are right about the carrier tac but I have enough planes that are attacking the car in z110 that can land on the carrier I can repost if needed.
Quick question on Bombing, I am bringing 2 tacs to bomb UK they can either bomb the Ind or NB/AB correct? Do the Tac bomb get to fight the interceptors as well? This is actually the first time I bombed in global. I am trying anything right now to see how the mechanics work.

ah yes, no prob, just carry along and in the end there will be 1 figh and 1 tac on the carrier. :)
i will copy paste the Strat bombing rules from alpha 2 here, this is the first time i am intercepting and getting bombed in Alpha 2 ;)
So lets get i right.8. Strategic Bombing Raids procedure:
• Escorts fire @1, and interceptor casualties are immediately removed.
• Bombers fire @ 1 and interceptors fire @ 2. Remove bomber and interceptor casualties (escorts may be taken as casualties only after all bombers are eliminated).
• Surviving bombers are assigned a specific target (IC, airbase or naval base) if more than one type is in the territory.
• The target fires its AA defenses at the attacking aircraft - @1
• Surviving bombers attack their target, looking for the highest number possible.When bombing, each Strategic bomber rolls one die and 2 is added to each die result, giving the total number of hits the target will receive. Gray chips are placed under the target for each hit received.
Tactical bombers
Tactical Bombers can also conduct bombing raids. They are limited to attacking only naval bases and airbases, however. Other wise they follow the exact procedure as strategic bombers presented above. When bombing they roll one die. The number rolled is the number of hits the target receives. Do not add to the dice roll when bombing with tactical bombers. -
So it would seem that Tacs attack interceptors on @1 and can only bomb Airfields and Naval Bases.
