Sadly, even if I’d left a unit in SZ46, sub off malaysia and fighter on guam could’ve sunk it.
I considered a naval base on Palau, meaning I didn’t need to defend the 5 transports so heavily (out of hawaiian fleet’s range) and could beef up SZ46, but I cheaped out and didn’t think of US planes possibilities.
it’s still a good move. Forced US hand.
