Not sure how you want to handle the losses there. With damage to the carrier, your fighters have no where to land and I can just retreat unscathed. If you take all your fighters as casualties, your carrier is unprotected.
I’m just going to assume you leave the carrier, so you can continue the battle, maybe kill a fighter, instead of losing it all now without killing anything.
So damage to carrier, loss of fighter, loss of tactical bomber for the defender.
