    Allthough i must ask if japan got 6 vc then the axis should win?

    I got a good vision on strategy in this game, so i gonna start an other one after my holidays.

    This one is lost to me (and not only because of the dice), you were the better part. 8-)

  • Good game! Thanks for playing! It was definitely fun! So, you asked a question in the beginning, whether it was a good idea to attack the US on Turn 2. The answer is no! It’s best to leave the US out of the war as long as possible. I’m sure you figured that out by now.  :-D Also, the attack on Yunnan was not a good idea. The best strategy for Japan is to completely bypass Yunnan.

    And losing Italy was not good either. I would like to also point out that you should have attempted to take Italy back last turn. You should have attacked(softened) them up w/the Italians, then finished us off w/the Germans. That way you could have killed our units there. Now, we would have moved our units off Italy and invaded Greece, Syria, Iraq & Egypt and left Italy/Med in dire straits. We’ve been playing A&A games for 25 years, so we’ve got a lot of experience at this game, even though Global is new to everyone, including us. Glad to hear you learned a few things. Hopefully you can use this experience in future games. A&A is a fun game w/lot’s of twists & turns at every corner!

    A few thoughts, w/Japan, avoid DOW’ing the US, the Brits & Anzac as long as possible. Avoid Yunnan, unless you can take and hold it. Bypass Yunnan and move on to Russia w/your forces in the south, in N. China and the Soviet Far East. W/Germany you might try a SeaLion invasion depending on what the Brits do but Russia should always be your main prize. W/the Italians, dominate the Med, build up your IPC base, take Egypt if possible and help Germany w/Russia.

    W/the Allies, use Hobo Smashers US opening moves. It allows the US to go Europe or Pacific. W/a NB in Smx, you can reach Haw or Gib in one turn. It our opinion it’s best to use a KGF strategy first w/the Allies. W/Russia, build at least 9 Inf a turn w/either 2 Art or 1 Mech, 1 Arm every turn. Position your forces like I did, using Nukr & Bel as your staging points. Force Germany to go one way or the other. Then, focus on stopping one of their advances w/ALL your forces. Don’t divide up your Russian forces unless the Germans do. It’s best for Germany to go one direction or the other but not both. W/the Brits/Anzac, harass Italy/Japan as much as possible. Hope this helps.

    If you don’t mind I’m going to finish your battles, so we can see how the Combat Phase would end. I’ll assume you retreat in Yunnan. Good luck in your other games!
