1939-1945 was the first up-scaled one.  All sets after that are and will be the larger size.  (So right now that includes North Africa and the upcoming Eastern Front set)

I’m going to stick by the explaination that a fixed weapon on a vehicle can only fire at units that could in fact fire back and hit its front armour. ie 180 degrees.

He means that the US Hero can keep using the destroyed tank’s attack values turn after turn, until he leaves the hex.

The tank is destroyed and can be removed from play (though I suppose you can get cute and lay it on it’s side with the US Hero on top just for the visual effect and as a reminder what vehicle stats to use :-D)

I’ve found that in general it helps that, when considering the AAM rules, you follow them by what they say and not what they mean. Real-World logic doesn’t always apply; though often this is just for playability.

Can a spotter also spot voor arty/mortars?

The Spotter SA applies only to Aircraft.
Any units that have **Indirect Fire say so. (Currently: GE sGrW 34 81mm Mortar, SV 82mm PM-37 Mortar, US M7 105mm Priest)

Can defensive fire result in anything more then disruption?

Defencive-Fire does NOT result in a hit against the unit; it simply gives a face-up disrupted token. Having more than one face-disrupted token has no additional effect on a unit. They do not cause damage/destroyed results because They Are Not Hits.

However units can still use their Special Abilities during defencive-fire which may cause more than disruption. For example if you provoke defencive-fire from a flamethrower and it rolls three 6s, it DOES still immediately destroy the unit.

Can a disrupted vehicle change facing?

No; the rules specifically say they can’t.**

Crack Shot gives you +1 to hit, I think you mean Headshot?

An attack from Headshot is NOT a hit, so doesn’t stack with them; all it can do is exactly what is says; give a face-up disrupted counter. This is exactly the same as getting counters from defencive-fire - they don’t count towards the number of hits during the casualty phase.
