I will be demonstrating my new game at GEEKWAY to the West in St. Louis in May 2025… There will be 2 games on Friday and 2 on Saturday. The WWII setup of the game will be played each day from 0900 to 1430 each day… while the empire build-up no teams version will be played from 1630 to 2330 each day… Please see the web site for sign up and to get a badge to come to the convention…

Updated Rail Depot.  House rules below
Rail allows each nation to extend the
movement of their ground units each turn.  Each
nation may move up to 2 ground units from one
rail station to another during the non-combat
movement phase.  There is no limit to the distance these units may travel, only number of units allowed to use the rail.  An uninterrupted line of
controlled territories must connect rail stations. 
Only units that have not moved during any other
phase may use rail.  Units may not move prior to,
or after using rail.  For gaming purposes a nation
may only use rail stations and railroad they
control.
Rail stations may be built in any territory
controlled for at least 1 round. It is not required
for these units to be built in factory locations.  As
the non-combat movement phase precedes the
place units phase, newly purchased rail stations
and railroad markers may not be used the same
turn they are purchased.
Rail stations and railroad may be captured by enemy nations.  Players must maintain control
of captured rail for one full turn before they are
allowed to use them.  Players may destroy their
own rail stations and railroad, however this must
be done during the controlling players turn. 
Players may attempt to destroy enemy rail stationswith strategic bombing.  Apply same rules for
strategic bombing.
Note:  Rail movement may not cross the Suez Can

I think you are making Block Houses too strong; all infantry defend @ 4? That’s too high. It should be a 3.
Also, if you use the HBG Marines and attack with a flamethrower unit, that should negate the block house advantage.

I like those card options. I was thinking on how one to use the card driven game machanic for A&A.

I’m not sure if anyone here has played a CDG before like “Paths of Glory WW1”, “Barbarosa to Berlin WW2”, “The Napoleonic wars” or “Sword of Rome”. But, everthing you do is based on the cards in your hand. If you want to move a unit you have to use a card. When you battle, cards in your hand may give you an advantage. There are event cards that reflect what happened in history but the time there are played may not be historical. There are  respond cards that negate or cancel a previous played card.

Cards act as resources and you have to manage them well, because, once you are out of them you may be in trouble. The geneal idea is that you can’t do everything you want in one turn. Like, “Do I activate this army to attack a key city or do I use the event to gain an advantage the next turn”. Things like that.

I’ll post some additional ideas later.

Guess what, I too use Blockhouses, they have big guns and are armoured, and work the same way as Battleships, only on soil.

Blockhouse, cost 15 IPC, build as many you want with chips under it, roll dice in “opening fire step” so the casualties cant roll dice and are removed instantly.  4 or less is hit in defence. This unit is only used when its territory is being attacked.
