Keeping Anzac under control.

Anzac capital ships are great if you can afford them, but priority for ground troops, transports and fighters! Anzac fighters are great for defending island, supporting Calcutta, China and even Moscow!

@WindowWasher Good day. Japan needs the income from the DEI and need to keep India on the defensive, not expanding. I agree with Awk others here: Oz can wait. Make Japan a monster first.
I have played close to 100 1940 games and don’t think anyone has tried to take Sydney from me early on.
Try it, but I don’t think it would work against most players here.

It’s not easy, you’ll probably lose most of China to the FEC, and you’ll have to start from scratch in South East Asia. You’re also giving the Americans free rein in the Pacific. It’s easier to take advantage of ANZAC’s low income to keep a small fleet in sz63, maybe conquer NZ and Solomons/NB, and keep them bottled up, while attacking Calcutta and US fleet.

I like the ANZAC  Brazil thing – takes some resources and a lot of time – but my Kiwi’s usually are stranded anyway ----
You will prob. have the extra 2 income all game.

As soon as you are in the war Pounce on Venezuela
( fighting 2 troops for 2 income is the best ROI you will find )

Kwangtung has to be better in most games.  Just something about how far forward the Americans were made me want to get away from them so I could keep killing Chinese also.  Malaya is nice and close to Africa and Australia as well

When I opened my box for AA50 and saw the potential for warping I had to go out and spend another $20 for a piece of plexiglass to lay over the boards so that they wouldn’t warp. My $100 AA50 ended up costing $120 plus 7% sales tax in order to play it. I do think the folded, thicker maps in AAP40 are much better and like the idea that they used cardboard markers for ICs and AA Guns. I can use those when I play AA42 to save some space. I had to give up my game room for awhile so I am not able to play AAP40 and have not picked up AAE40 yet so right now AAP40 is sitting in the closet while I am using the the cardboard pieces from it.

All powers may roll for technology. China will only benefit from advanced artillery, if they have it. If China acquires an AA gun then that would be 2 other techs, rockets and radar. It sucks that the research token way is gone. In global we buy research dice, meaning if you lose, your money is gone.

So it’s back to the Revised edition way?
