Historical World War II Game

I’ve played monopoly with 2 boards side by side and can’t build any hotels. You need doubles rolled to jump from board to board.

Gopher I would follow krieghund’s link if you are playing the Xeno board game. If this is question regarding TripleA WAW variants I can’t really help I’m not  an experienced TripleA user and I’m not even sure if TripleA’s clone is a “genuine clone” as WWII is a “clone” of Axis & Allies. Try posting in the “variants” section of the A&A.org site, you may find your answer there.

Personally I never bought or played any of the Xeno games or pieces but at one time they filled a niche where A&A was absent as well as Table Tactics.

Do you know if there’s any good ww2 tactical game with turns instead of real time?

I tried heart of iron 3 (and that game doesn’t have turns either) but I find it too deep in rules to like it. (I feel like I need to read a 200pages manual to be able to play it)

I wouldn’t give up on the entire series, try Hearts of Iron 2 or Hearts of Iron Darkest Hour edition, both are much simpler and intuitive. You can download it from STEAM but make sure you get the game that says Darkest Hour: A Hearts of Iron game and not Darkest Hour Europe 44-45, thats and FPS not an RTS.

Darkest Hour is alot of fun with a much better map then the other HOI games. Also its the only one with a 1914 start date, which is alot of fun.

I agree Xeno 1939 game was bad ass
russkie infantry at 2$ was pretty brutal
but it was fun to use each countries special units
I think us fighters were 10$ if I remember right

The 1917 game was fun!

I like the fact that you can upgrade units and the strategy you employ is different to win each battle.

Wait did Avalon Hill get into the soap business? I have soaps like those in my bathroom. They smell good too.

The ones we’re not supposed to ever touch?  Along with the towels we’re not supposed to use to dry our hands?

I like TripleA alot. I haven’t played the other PC game since I downloaded TripleA.
