It’s not the number of dice rolled, but what scores as a hit… divided by 6 to arrive at average number of hits expected.
For example, in Norway…
ROUND 1
11 dice that hit @ 2 = 11x2 = 22
2 dice that hit @ 3 = 2x3 = 6
22 + 6 = 28 total. Divided by 6 (the number of possible outcomes on the die) = 4.7.
So you would expect an average of 4.7 hits when rolling these dice.
ADD ROUND 2
4 @ 2 = 8
2 @ 3 = 6
= 14 total. Divided by 6 = 2.3
Add the two rounds together, a total of 42 (not 44 as I wrote before… I miss-added), which when divided by 6, is 7 average hits. I scored 3 hits, less than half of average. I would define that as “pathetic”.
But anyway… yes, let’s call this one. The Japs could probably take Queensland, but the loss of the transports in sz6 is devastating to the cause. A very creative move. But also one that exemplifies what I detest about Alpha 2 turn order. Giving the Allies 4 countries in a row is just too much of an advantage, especially when the most powerful nation goes first in the order… I haven’t won a game yet with the Axis…
