The intended design of the Self-propelled Artillery unit was to support “fast moving” units that operate alongside Tank & Panzer units - such as Mechanized Infantry etc.

The background for the limitations in production numbers and Nations that can produce SPA is partly based on:

Play test results (game balance) Historical production numbers of SPA compared to the production number of Tank units Historical use of SPA Ease of Game Play

At this point our play test results - and their use during recent games - show that mostly Germany and the Soviet Union are using the SPA units.

The Soviets most often combine their SPA units with their Soviet Guard Infantry units - either as part of Soviet Army Corps - or as independent units.

Prior to the introduction of SPA units Germany is already familiar with the use of SPA since the German Waffen-SS units include SPA units.

The rules concerning Air Fleet Commander has been clarified & updated - see more the revised attached pdf file for information at Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.

Genius.

As you can see CWO, Japan is more or less stationed in Saigon and the Philippines protecting there money islands they have control of after 4 turns.
Also they seem to be buying a few more bombers due to there range from airbases in Saigon and the Philippines.

This setup does change the game for Japan and the allies. Right now it is making UK spend more money in the Pacific as far as more ships.
It also has made the US buy more in Europe due to UK has no control in Africa and not spending any money in Europe side. The US right now is doing Operation Torch for support in Africa but may shift to London with troops. With the UK Pacific ship buy support, its seems to give US a little more room to focus some troops else where.

UK is not split up as for as the money goes. They start with 75 icps and can buy anywhere. If this was a split economy ( UK, Canada,  FEC, and Anzac ) it would probably make the US buy all in the Pacific because UK Pacific side would be in a world of hurt with Japan focusing everything down by thee islands.

Just thought you like to see how it was going with the territory value changes and moves.

yeah a few house rules went to the details of oil costs for movement
its probably too much accounting for all but the most “hardcore”

I some sort of victor/oil city would be a neat way to do it
if one side holds X of Y oil regions for Z turns, they win

ah yeah I think love multiple victory conditions

by the way, its buggy at the moment

*some units can move in both combat and non-combat

*not landing friendly air units (which you can’t control) would render them destroyed
(eg. Japanese planes in the axis collided “turn”)

*you can SBR victory cities (which is not too bad since in AARHE SBR is not restricted to ICs)
