Do transports have a combat block?

In addition to this, any of your ships in the sea zone when the combat are presumed to have taken place in combat. The only way to avoid this is to move them during combat movement (even if the move does not result in combat).

Traditionally, I just start converting Dutch island but because I have been playing against a Japanese player who tends to move his fleet south. I will take the transport and knock out Italy.

Thanks for the answers, I had figured as much.  I might have to re-print the rules and go over them again with the gang next Saturday.

We know about that one - most Russian players just keep the sub there for some reason.  I guess for the possible defense when a destroyer/plane go to take it out to cut the bonus.
The Russian sub is usually kept there, as Variance said, for the purpose of Convoying Norway / Germany. Kind of a little Russian jab that just sits there, taking 2-3 ipc’s per turn, until Germany does something about it.

Imagine a destroyer is blocking your carrier and you got 2 fighters, you can send 1 to the destroyer and the other 3 spaces away where it would land on your carrier after.

Yes, but that’s not what was asked, so let’s not confuse the issue.  It’s not about planning, it’s about whether it’s allowed to moved through a space where combat occurred.  And that is allowed.

On your place I would ask the help for users of this forum.

The only exception to that is a retreat. If you use a carrier in an attack, you can’t assume that you will retreat on some combat round and thus allow your fighter land on it. Other than that, yes, if it can theoretically land, even if a battle is required to be won (like 1 sub versus 1000 battleships) then it can land.
