Nice.
Samurai Swords

Has any one tried the turn structure of Samurai Swords’ simultaneous play? I guess instead of bidding for turn order (who’s to say you can’t though) you would keep the turn order of OOB or Alpha+2 for the combat portion. I often wondered what the outcome would be like, any thoughts?

IN Samurai Swords you bid to play first, second, etc…its not really simultaneous. Also it could allow some nations to have a run of double turns, which can be devastating to Russia since Germany could just outbid the board and play last in one round, then save and play first the next turn and take Moscow.

That thought occurred to me as well, so no bidding

If no bidding them you get into situations where players attack where you are weak and the defender just picks and reacts in every situation to his advantage. You would have to write everything down and that makes it no fun.
if you want to play faster then do: “all Axis, all Allies” turn sequence.
