I can change the subject name at will, again and again.
I can modify and erase, again and again, almost all of the message body, except I cannot left it empty.

That’s why in these cases the Moderator can simply move this to where it belongs. I have no idea why that hasn’t been done already. The solution is NOT to allow the OP to just delete a thread which contains others people’s posts.

Here is above, another alternative solution (while waiting a Moderator) that an Opening Poster can do on its own Opening post.

It is possible to left almost everything blank, except for 1 single character (a dot is enough) in this two:
No subject was filled in.
The message body was left empty.

So if someone is starting a new thread in the wrong forum, just let him know that he have just to start a new one in the good forum and just copy the message body from his older one.
Then, once it is done he can erase everything and left a single dot “.” in both subject and message body section.

The OP is not powerless about is own post and starting thread.
He can also left a message like this: “To mod: Erase this thread, please.”

All the others replies can be easily erase by each author.

If you guys wouldn’t mind, please move comments to the new thread. I’m not going to close this one because if you want to quote somebody else’s response and paste it into the new threads, I would like you to do that.

Most other Message boards I belong to have an option to “Ignore” certain users, meaning you will see that that person has posted, but the text of his/her message is removed and replaced with something like “You have chosen to ignore <user>.  Click hereto see the text of the message”.

I’ve looked around and can not find such a function.  Is there one that I just haven’t seen, or is it not currently available?  It would be very handy if we had something like this to ignore serial offenders of off-topic discussion.  Who knows, maybe y’all want to ignore me too.  8-)</user>

All i can do is sticky it…  That keeps it near the top of the appropriate category…

But there is a new virus on MSN that my girlfriend mnaged to infect my system with.

It says somethinga long the line;  Here´s some summer pictures i took the other day, have a look"  then it wants you do download a rar file, if you do it will download and say “error, couldn´t download”  (but it sure did).

Then all your Msn contacts will get the same  messages from your Msn when they or you log on.

Beware., It was quite hard to get rid of…  had to manually dleete some stuff, then atlast the virus priogram managed to clear out the rest but it took 4 scans+manual deleting+making my firewall stop all contacts with certain programs in the mean time…

Without firewall it will contact some server and re-download all vital files again when a virus scan and cleaning is done.

Yeah, anything to avert attention from the Political Discussion Forum is GREAT!
