mmmm…maybe…but jesus turned water to wine, not soda pop.

Strong drink in the Bible was called sikera. Wine diluted with water was called oinos. The people of the day drank oinos regularly because the water was contaminated. Jesus turned water into oinos, not sikera and the Bible always condemns strong drink, and yes, JESUSRULES!!!
The story in question can be found in John 2:1-11. It makes no reference to either sikera or oinos, but if you wanted to argue the point, then the case could be made for the former rather than the latter, since it’s clear the Governor made mention that the best wine was kept for last referring to the wine Jesus had transformed from water.
But how long did Jesus take to turn water into wine? 5 minutes or 5 weeks?
