1939 Map

That looks like the 4ft.x8ft. map in the video. I dont think that will be practical for most people as a special walk around table will be required to reach all parts of the map. I would think that a 3x6 size would sell better.
I have done my own map with a 4x8 table.
No one critize the dimension.

4 x 8’ map is just awesome to look at , let alone playing on it. I have IL 4 x 8 map and we didn’t have to get up and walk around. We sat in computer chairs and just rolled back and forth on your side of map. For me I perfer 4 x 8.

That is why I offer for sale a 34x72" version on my website.
Two sizes for what you prefer.

Absolutly nothing wrong with a 4x8 map. Wish I had room somewhere to set one up. That is my point, I do not think that most AA player do. I guess I could set one up in my garage but I just do not think that would be practical. I have a game room with a 3x6 bench where I can leave a game setup until finished. Your 34x72 would be just right for that.

Tigerman, your rules state that Italy does not declare war on the allies until France (Paris) falls. Did you intend for the French fleet to be able to attack Germany in the Baltic and to attack Italy in the Med. on F1? Italy is supposed to be a pro-axis neutral at that point of the game. In our test game today my friend playing the allies decided to make both attacks because France would probably lose their ships anyway.

Italy is pro axis, but didn’t declare war on the allies til after France was defeated. So if Germany does not take Paris on the first turn then the French fleet is able to attack the german fleet. French fleet in the Med. cannot attack the Italian fleet because. If Germany fails to take Paris then Italy is still neutral, if Germany takes Paris and invokes the Vichy rule only free french can attack. If Germany decides not to invoke Vichy rule, then all remaining French units are considered free french, join the allies and move on UK turn.  I hope this clarrifies this rule for you. Thanks for your response. That is how I wanted to play it but my friend insisted that the French attack the Italians. I think we will keep the Italians neutral from now on. You had posted that you were going to have a rules update. Anything new on that?

Also, I don’t think you should Sell this Map. You got the Template for free. (from Me)
It should be a free down load, for anyone to have.  Just Cause you Covered up the A&A Buy chart with roundels doesn’t make it right, or changing the color of territories.

I did not charge for my map, and all you did was alter it a bit and are charging $ for this?

Map is a Free Download on my site and the AAA threads, it always has been
I only offer the map for sale for printing, since I can print it cheaper than most other people can.

I agree with Coach - he is not selling anything other than the printed copies of the map, and cheaper than we can make them.

Here, Here to that!  It’s called economies of scale: Coach has the connections and the retail infrastructure to help us get something cheaper than we could do it ourselves; it’s a win-win all around, way I see it!  I bought a nice Risk map on ebay for like 5 bucks once… cost me another 40 to get it laminated at Kinko’s.  50-100 bucks for a vinyl map this size seems about right to me.

As someone who works in the investments/finance industry, this is capitalism at it’s finest: a win for all.
