If it is a real board game you’re looking for, then Eclipse and her extension : you can play up to 9 players, and it’s really fun. With 9 peoples, it could take up to 5-6 hours to complete the game though.

Just wanted to mention we are at a stage in the campaign where it is convenient to add more players if anyone is interested.  I happen to enjoy posts at least every two or three days, but there’s no rule saying we have to move that fast, scenes can easily be longer with more role play between more active players while waiting for those with busier schedules to find a minute to login and post a round.

I have a PC version of Risk that I play.  I know a lot of you guys dont like Risk for its unrealism, and I know what you mean.  However if I want to play a game thatll last less than an hour and a half with a bunch of friends, then Risk is actually a great choice.

Anyways, I have Risk for PC and you can actually play people online with it.

This game doesnt allow you to play online, since you need to register a cdkey with them, however you can play LAN (Local Area Network.)

You need to use a program called Hamachi…which in a nutshell is a program that fakes a LAN connection but through the internet, allowing people to play online with each other.  Hamachi download here http://www.hamachi.cc/download

If anyone can find a good PC version of A&A (not the RTS plz…that game sucked), we can all download it and play with this method.  :wink:

Hi guys, i’m not sure if this is the right place to ask about this, but here goes…

I’m from Total Annihilation, and recently I heard about a new client some guys from Axis & Allies have made, and that they made a version for TA aswell.
If these guys use this forum, please could you  help me out with my login problems to this client…when I try to log in I just get the error:

“Could not log in: OnConnect Socket Error # 10061
Connection Refused.”

i’ve tried multiple reinstalls / different usernames + passwords (I was told there is no ‘registration’ as such, just pick a name/password and go?)
I’ve been through regedit and deleted all warzone entries, tried a reinstall then, and still no luck. And yes, I put “2” for the ‘maximum users per computer’ question.

I’ve always found the history of the War card game quite interesting, especially when you compare it to Solitaire. War is one of those classic card games that is so simple yet engaging, much like Solitaire. Both games have been around for ages and have a sort of timeless appeal. ANYWAY, I bet this guy doesn’t even have an honest copy of the A&A boardgame. He probably downloaded the rules someplace and made a board out of linoleum and plastic pieces out of used gum and pipe-cleaners.

Too much work, I’d say.

I know it’s not exactly turned based, but with the pause button, I would have to say Hearts of Iron. Great game once they fixed all the bugs inside of it.
