Alternate 1942 setup?

There were no changes to the treatment of neutrals in general, but the Soviet-Mongolian Defense Pact was added in the 2nd Edition.

Japan is ridiculously strong (but then is on 1940 too).
Germany can be held a while and Italy should not grow at all, but the U.S. must invest nearly all its income in the Pacific.
Still makes a refreshing change from 1940 though.

Go the main A&A.org page for the Europe and Pacific setups. The Soviets get 28 IPC’s, instead of 37 IPC’s to start. Once the Soviets are at war in Europe, they get a 9 IPC boost. The US starts w/35 IPC’s, instead of 52. I would read the posts in the Europe 40 and Pacific 40 sections for more info and strategies.

Good find Fire Knight but I already found it a few days ago. I’m waiting now for a 1942 setup.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the setup boxes that come with the game(the ones that store units and have setup charts on the lid)?

anyone have a link, or could maybe post a high quality (i.e. zoomable) photo of the complete map with units, or failing that a graphic of same?
