Thanks Panther that is what I thought.
The non-aggression pact
-
Between Russia and Japan makes the board look so empty, and in all honestly the Russians just didn’t leave their boarders undefended. I came up with a solution! Give the Japs a good reason to keep that non-aggression pact alive by placing all of Russias units on the border
Makes it look more impressive when playing too. And gave me something to do for 10mins

Why are Japan’s carriers missing their tactical bombers?

Just finished painting them. Drying now actually :-D

Z6 only has 1 transport in the alpha setup

Where did you get those pieces? Did you just paint the plastic pieces that came with it? They look amazing.

Beautiful paint work.
So Ju: I will not play Pacific alone as the Japanese have a massive advantage, in that they do not need to garrison their Northern border.
I queried with on Larry’s own site and got no solution to this large problem.
I did play with the 18 Russians too and my opponent was free to use them if he felt like it. This way, I played leaving 6-8 units in Korea/Manchuria.
It was not an ideal solution, as most Russian players sent part, if not all 18 west to save Moscow, but made me happier. -

Looks impressive. And it’s good that you included the Mongolian troops, since Mongolia was in essence a pro-Soviet buffer between the USSR and Japan (and fought alongside the Russians against Japan in 1939 and 1945).

Thank you Krieghund.
I think I missed that rule addition. -
Love your set. We should compare notes sometime.
BTW, if you want to add more flavor, a Soviet cruiser, destroyer, and a few submarines in SZ 5 is warranted.
