Scorched Earth?

Can a Trprt escorted by a DD move into a SZ with an enemy Sub during CombatMove and load the Trprt and continue on it’s way to conduct an Amphib attack ?

Or does the Sub make the SZ hostile preventing this ?

@yazoinkergrapft Yes, the United States is allowed to declare war. If it does, the sea zone immediately becomes hostile, as there are enemy surface warships in it. However, since the United States is not declaring war until the Collect Income phase, during the Combat Move, Conduct Combat, and Noncombat Move phases the sea zone is still friendly, so the United States can still occupy it freely. On Japan’s next turn, its units in the sea zone will be starting the turn in an enemy-occupied sea zone, so the normal rules for that situation apply (those units must either move away in combat movement or attack).

@Overkill I use the Tiger tanks from 1941 …the FW-190s from that game also…I also use the white complexes to represent major factories…I’m now thinking about using the tanks from Stalingrad also…

@argothair yes that indeed is an issue. That is why i stop doing taranto but this form of Gibastion. This way i save the fleet and carrier. So UK 2 i move them (UK fighters from the Med and London who are now in algeria) to Egypte and there on to Moscow. Togethee with the Anzac fighters this gives Russia a bit of breathing space.
The factory in Egypte buys subs and a fighter turn two and from turn 3 on fighters abd Land units .
It is not the perfect plan but wirh a US going 75% KJF you can’t invade Europe direct.

I think that the reason that players try to force Sealion is that they think that defeating the UK is the same as defeating Middle Earth. The way to defeat it is to win the game. The best way for the Axis to win it seems to me is playing your own strategy and forcing the Allies to react to it. The Axis have the advantage and initiative to begin the game and they need to strike hard and as quickly as possible without worrying where the UK builds a factory. Middle Earth gives the Allies a chance to stop the Axis from over-running Moscow and Calcutta but that’s all, only a chance. With no Sealion Middle Earth helps to even out the odds. With Sealion the Allies take the advantage. That’s what I have found so far.

The problem with that is if the US took Manchuria, it would revert to Chinese control so the US would not be able to use a factory there or even build one itself.  Also, US would not get the 3 IPCs for Manchuria either. 
However, USA could take Korea and put a minor there.
