I’m in Lenexa. I’ve not played any of the 1940 games, but I like the idea of the global game and am not opposed to learning it. I’m typically a Spring 1942 player.
Thank very much for you kind feedback folks, very much appreciated. Edinburgh and Cumbria are a little far to drive, was hoping there may be a gamer closer to Hawick. Not to worry. Thanks again for your rapid feedback!
Good question about the definition of a long session. :-) We’ve played 6 hours or 12 hours. Depends on how much time we have to play, or how good the game is or how focused we are on the game.
We play a modified version of the AA50 rules as we’re not big fans of the current tech rules. Would you like to see our rules that we use, and we can go from there is you like what you see? If so, you can PM me your email for exchange of the word docs. We also can converse on a more private level if you would like.
BTW, my friend is in Aurora and I am in Homer Glen, but travel to Elgin/Hoffman Estates to me is no biggie if the game play is worth the ride.
Folks, first post here. I’m looking for other people in the San Francisco bay area (djensen!?) who are interested in playing FTF AAR. First get together tomorrow afternoon, we have three of us so far. I’m trying this “meetup” website to find people: http://axisallies.meetup.com/60/calendar/6125655/
