I think you’re talking about 1941?  1941 barely ships with any units out of the box.  I would hope 1914 ships with enough considering its hefty price tag.

I like that. And yes, in this game, every rat that can make it into Moscow matters :-D.

What say you all about buying a mixture of Mech Inf and Tanks since Mech Inf can get out to Eastern Front faster?

I never tried it before, usually I buy all tanks, but I wonder how it would work out splitting between Mech INF and Tanks.

Oh yeah, as Germany I usually will get 1 tank for every 2-3 mechs. Mechs are cheaper so you can buy more of them and if you still have most of your aircraft available, you can still have the heavy hitters with your aircraft and some tanks and have a wall of mechs for fodder.

While I would enjoy an Axis & Allies 1940 version or setup that was more historically accurate, it would be extremely difficult to win as the Axis.  Particularly as Japan.

Take 1941 and divide by 10, you get IPCs of:
USSR: 27
Germany: 57 (41.2 Ger, 13 Fra, 2.9 Aus)
Italy: 15
UK: 35
Japan: 20
USA: 124

Once again I doubt if you missed the American units at the west coast that starting TUV means anything. If it cant be protected in force its useless unless its out of range.
