Do you mean a landing in Caucasus? Or landings around the med in general?

Neither should really be a big problem, Caucasus should be covered (over land) by taking (and retaking) Ukraine (and W.Russia) as Russia. Land your planes in Caucasus and build enough units there to be sure.
Landings in Africa / Middle East are abit of a pain, but should be fixable in a few turns with some US help (and those are germans not going to Russia)

Has anyone made a victory city tracker for AA42 similar to this:  http://www.boardgamegeek.com/image/308716/axis-allies?size=large  from the Revised game but using the AA42 color scheme and 2 victory conditions? I would try it but I do not have the programs to do such a chart. Thanks.

gotta qualify this if you want answers.  better for whom?  Whats the situation and early or late game?

victory cities are just for new players, I never played with VCs, and since Revised I’d never achieved the minimum nr. of VCs in revised/AA42/AA50. It has always been up to me or my opponent to concede, then the game is over.

I don’t see any problem applying the individual victory rules from Revised to 1942.  However, I agree with Tekkyy that it’s probably better done later on.  I also believe that the individual victory rules from Classic are better.  In those rules, the individual winner is the player that increases his/her IPC total by the highest percentage, rather than by the highest number.

The spreadsheet comparing the Revised and Anniversary rules can be found here as well.  As Tekkyy mentioned, there are only very small differences between the Anniversary rules (though you also need to read the errata) and the 1942 rules, once you get past the absence of Italy and China as separate powers.
