1. Buys 1AC, 1DD, 1SUB
2. Takes over France, Normandy, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Finland
3. Moves 6 Infantry and lands all planes (except two fighters) on Western Germany
4. Destroys UK navy except for fleet at Gibraltor, the destroyer transport at SZ109, two cruisers in SZ112
5. Places AC DD SUB in SZ113 along with 1BB, 1CA, 1TRAN and 2FIG
As UK what would buy and do on UK1?
Why would Germany not kill Z112?
Actually, Germany has the power to kill all ships in the North Atlantic except the Gibraltar fleet
UK1:
Kill Italian fleet ( exchange)
Use planes to pick off remnants of German fleet attacks that they made against UK fleet around England. (USA finishes off the rest on their turn)
Buy new starter fleet and place out of range of German counter

Not attacking SZ112 was a choice made to preserve more of Germany’s Airforce.
As for UK destroying Italian fleet, that means UK would be prone to a possible Sealion attack. By Germany placing main navy in baltic SZ113, UK cannot enter with whatever is left of its navy near UK (which in the example i described would be 1 destroyer, 1 cruiser, 1 transport). The only German naval units UK can attack would be any subs that survived G1.

The German builds would clarify the viability of that. If Germany didn’t also buy also transports and or planes, that would be a paper tiger.
UK can kill Italian fleet and still buy infantry or whatnot to thwart a German sea-lion that didn’t have the use of her builds for that purpose.
If Germany did prepare 100% for sea-lion with her builds, then yes UK would need to just build her fleet, but that forces Germany to not play to her strengths by developing her army, and allows UK to properly develop her strength which is naval.
So the bottom line is it allows UK to gain right?
For starters the Germans w/1 tpt don’t scare me too much if I’m UK, if your hanging back as Germany in the Baltic. The UK will need to build DD’s to try to take out the surviving German subs, and keep them out of the Atlantic. As UK the Italian navy will be tempting, and the UK carrier could keep the French ships in the Med alive too. As UK do you go to the Med for revenge (Italians), or bring the carrier back home to rebuild your fleet (keeping in mind that 1 German tpt doesn’t exactly spell Sea Lion).

It looks like Germany can take 3 of those British fleet stacks and possibly 4 ( if it wants to lose planes) and it can buy a carrier and protect its Baltic fleet because UK will only have 3 fighters in range of the BB, CA and AP off Denmark.
I suggest Germany buys the carrier if it does this attack. This forces British to build a fleet or move the carrier group to UK.

This is the set up and its game over for Italian navy.
UK has enough to take it out completely, but then again a German carrier build may cause UK to jump back.
Germany has enough stuff to also take France even if her planes are used to fight UK ships.
facing this UK has a very important 1st turn ( more so that all the other games with Europe/Global)
