Thank you. Had not seen that and was unhappy to contradict Kriegkund, but could not see any difference with what I had said. Now I realise without a japanese DOW against UK/Anzac a Japanese player could have moved through an occupied sea hex on its way to a Dutch territory. Now it cannot. Though, of course, my way and knowing I was provoking war with UK/Anzac, I would have attacked them too and, therefore, not moved illegally through a sea zone . You have to love Japan.
2 Silly questions

For some reason my brain just isn’t processing these 2 points, so forgive the noobish questions-
1) Aircraft- do air units count the sea zone around their island/home space against their total move allowance? For example, do Fighters in Japan count Sea Zone 6 as a separate space? What abouyt taking off from a smaller island like say New Britain?
- Is Dutch New Guinea considered an Island for Scrambling purposes?

Yes
No

Thanks!

The easiest way to count air movement is everytime you pass over a line on the board it counts as 1 movement point. So leaving an island cost 1 movement point to get into the sea zone.
