I’ve scrambled them at all time and been successful in destroying the German force. last time he went after my fleet and used the remaining in France. I was able to destroy all 6, me losing a fighter and damaged battleship.
Note that if the allied air units are controlled by a different player, the decision whether to scramble those units is made by that player. As with any battle involving multiple defending players, they must decide upon casualties among themselves, and if they can’t decide the attacker chooses.
Also, such air units may only be scrambled if that ally is at war with the attacker.
Yes, the US baited Japan, which is why they left all their Battleships at Pearl Harbor instead of secretly removing them
i don’t believe they did it on purpose, cause it made them incredibly vulnerable. perhaps they did it at phillipines and guam and wake and such, which would surprise me cause of the stiff resistance offered at those places.
They would need to take over Gibraltar first and then sail through the big Atlantic…… Not sure if they can pull this off before the USA kicks them out.
I know it’ll never happen. I just wanted to know for fun
The rules for scrambling specifically state that you may only scramble if combat is occurs in the sea zone surrounding the island with the air base. This combat may be either a straight naval battle if defending naval units exist in the sea zone or just an amphibious attack launched from the sea zone if there are no existing defending naval units.
And if you let Italy eat up Africa…Then Germany looks pretty bleak
Africa will be hard, but if you can get through Egypt and Med you will be able to slowly move on the British, but they have an IC in South Africa. Russia will be bigger so Germany could get a lot more countless territories and France will be a few, so they can build up, but if the US ever gets there they are rich
