Questions about US neutrality and Commonwealth response to Japanese decl. of war

Thanks guys.  Just didn’t seem clear to me via the rulebook what would happen in a surprise strike situation if the subs didn’t actually score a hit.  Makes sense that, if they chose to attack, this would make them visible to a counter.

You seem to have it all correct. Your planes can not hit the subs because you do not have a destroyer in the battle. Japan may not remove them as a casualty, if you hit with your planes.

The Japanese subs also don’t get to shoot, if all you have fighting in the naval portion of this attack are planes.

At the very beginning of the Conduct Combat phase, before combat is begun.  For all practical purposes, when you said.

Correct, you get the $ at the END of turn 3.  You can’t attack until turn 4 unless Japan kicks it off early.

I few weeks ago I found a page on this website that listed different places to buy A&A style pieces/units.  In fact, I ordered a few items from Brookhurst Hobbies and they were really nice.  However, now I am unable to locate that same page again (my bad, forgot to bookmark it).  Can any of you point me in the right direction??
