@ButterSurge hello! I am a Global War 36 player, i am interested in trying this scenario out but, id like to limitations on when things happen. One of the things i like about global war is that the axis can attack and declare war as they please, which puts a fun spin it the game in my opinion. With that being said, have you done a test game without the set time declarations?
Alternate Country Combos
-
what are the pros and cons of Alternate country combinations? Please be as unbiased as possible. has it made a more fun game or more boring game.
-
the problem with alternate country combinations is that the game is designed from the beginning with the idea of 2 Sides…
AXIS & ALLIES (hence the name)…therefore you can’ just break up the countries differently because, they were designed to be balanced where 1 side had 2 players and the other has 3. this is also based somewhat on Historical accuracy. to change this would mean you would have to change EVERYTHING that has to deal with the positions of the Starting Units. Maybe Even Have to change the money each country starts with, and the values of the territories they start with.
It would essentially become a different game

I think it would be interesting if you had any ideas on different country combos, even different time periods, perhaps a House Rule ‘Cold War’ game or something in that nature, but I do agree with Keredrex, the game was definently designed to have 5 players and has been well set up for balance.
