I am familiar with the T-34 and Su 85 but not with the T-71.  Is it a variant of the T-70?

Hey Dr Larsen.  I haven’t heard of the T-71 either.  Here’s a pic of the T-70.  Maybe the T-71 is an improved variant of this tank.

All great suggestions Dr but I have to say I am a little tapped out of dollars right now.  I’m still looking for a job to support this bad habit.
I am looking at setting up my own retail operation.  This would allow me to reduce prices and still increase return on investment.  This month I am just focused on getting the Russian’s done.

So far I’ve published a logic/ critical thinking text for teenagers called The Art of Argument and a 3-part Latin for grammar-school students series called Latin for Children.

Right now I’m working on my next project, a four-part history of the world for youngsters to be called History for Children.

The Art of Argument:  My kids started training in argument as soon as they learned the work NO.  Will your critical thinking allow the students to watch news that is fair and balanced?

That is, in fact, exactly what it is designed for, among other things…

History for Children:  That sounds great.  I’m reading The Bulletproof George Washington.  If only our kids could learn that part of our history. But it talks about faith in God so it will not be allowed.

There’s a great solution to this: home-schooling.  Millions of people are doing it, many using our materials, which are designed to be as home-school friendly as possible.

Another plus of homeshooling is that you can do creative things like using board games to help you teach history (like A&A!)  After I finish the basic HFC series, in fact, I’m thinking about creating a curriculum for doing this!  I’ll have to convince my press-partners that it’s a good idea, but I think it could be big!  (Notice how I’ve brought this back to something that’s at least partially back on topic…)

Two things to add to this Jack.

First, I too would love a more expanded line of your WWI line to include much of the above (mostly  needed is  the Zeppelins, balloons, bi-planes, and bombers). You could end up with a lot more of my money if you do this…

Second, I have built IL’s game for myself and love it. It’s very complete and fun. I did end up doing a bit of a re-write to simplify some things to bring it a bit more inline with A&A. However, many people could enjoy either version with these additional pieces making it affordable to build ( I spent a lot on minis from you and elsewhere).

Wouldn’t a game based on WW 1 be kind of boring with the stagnation of trench warfare?  At least on the Western front after the initial German advance and then the Allied repulse, the front lines were nearly static for nearly 4 years until the British and French introduced the first tanks in large numbers and achieved a breakthrough.
Now, on the Eastern front, things were much more mobile.

With the scope of IL’s game including many of the British territories in Africa and the Middle East, and the variety of units involved, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained until tanks are brought it to wreak havoc (and break down). Naval battles are epic and Zeppelins with bombs are killer.

Jack, almost forgot, we need cavalry too. What would the French and Russians do without them?

Oh yeah, I forgot about the great naval clash of the Battle of Jutland.  And the African colonies and Middle-East.  Plus there was some action in Turkey.  They fought against both the Western Allies and the Russians.  There was even naval action in the South Pacific and South Atlantic.  There was a German squadron disrupting shipping in the South Pacific and was eventually stopped by British Cruisers based in the Falklands.
So, I stand corrected.  A WW 1 game like that would be pretty fun if it wasn’t just focused on the Western front.
