What's the first thing you'll do upon getting Europe 1940?

I am planning on hosting a tournament for Axis and Allies 1940 Europe 2nd Edition through TripleA. Anybody could enter and we will host it in a discord server. if you count the regular income from all nations together you come up to 149 IPCs. With the national Objectives you get an possible additional income of somewhat around 90 IPC at maximum. So if noone saves any money ever the maximum you’ll need at one point is somewhere around 240 IPCs. Now you might want to count in some savings and the possibility to change between the different denominations.
I guess to be on the sure side you should have about 350 IPCs. How many of which denominations depends a bit on what you and your buddies prefer. Would you want to have more then 10 1-IPC-bills? Or do you change those anyway to a 5 or 10-IPC-bill? And so on :wink:

Has anybody played JUST a Europe game yet? I think I got a group of people to play this weekend, but they are new and seem to be concerned with the length of time it takes to play the game. I was thinking about playing just the European game instead since it should be quicker.

Has anybody played it? Was the game play as good as Global (smaller scale of course)?

How does E1940 compare with P1940?

Upon futher reflection on the map, I could see a major IC purchase for Romania being worth its weight in gold.  Buying mainly mechs from it, then moving to Ukraine with a small force of Italians will allow you to use the classic can opener threat from AA50.  Could be a good buy on G2 with the spare funds, or even on G1 if you really wanted to for a strong push on Russia G3.

Same here ;) just when the allies get too cocky you remind them of a kamakazi strike. “Oh, did’nt QUITE see that coming…”

In my rules NCM is simultaneous with Combat Movement; there is no reinforcing areas you just captured in any circumstances.

Therefore, you can only rail units into territories you’ve held since your last turn, representing the problems of converting track gauges and so forth.  You still have to build your attack in stages, giving the enemy the chance to counter-rail his own forces to that front, or to disrupt such movement by attacking vulnerable links in the chain of territories on your network.

If the Axis allows the Allies to move a large force from Cape Town to Moscow in one move they really deserve to get screwed.
